The last smoothie we made (Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie with Chia Seeds ) was very good, but we both wished we had used our go-to juice- Dole Orange Peach Mango. Instead, we fresh squeezed half an orange, to create a lighter, fresher smoothie. We decided to go back to our favorite juice for this one!
This is pretty much your standard mixed berry smoothie, made with frozen strawberries and fresh raspberries and blueberries. I did add in some delicious, protein rich Greek Yogurt and some Omega-3 laden chia seeds to give this smoothie an extra element of nutritious goodness.
We both agree that this is the best beverage to watch while Sri Lanka (hopefully!) defeats India in the World final of Cricket! I’m not really a cricket fan, in fact I just made Nevin explain half the terms to me about 5 minutes ago, but since our 2 “homelands” are duking it out, we are glued to the screen. LET’S GO SRI LANKA! THE LITTLE ISLAND THAT COULD!
- 1/2 cup favorite juice (I used Dole Orange Peach Mango)
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (I used Fage 0%)
- 3-4 whole frozen strawberries
- 1/4 cup fresh raspberries
- 1/4 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
